Four years ago I transitioned from an academic librarian to a school librarian. Though I've increased the amount of young adult literature that I read from none to some, my librarian focus is always aimed at teaching, research, use of sources and technology. I'm always disappointed in myself when a student asks for a book recommendation and I don't make the match.
Well, this is the year I get better. What's wrong with me, reading young adult lit is just about the greatest part of my job! This blog will help me stay focused on the goal of one ya book per week and will also give me a place to record my thoughts about each book.
One young adult book a week. That's the goal, though rarely made, it is still a place for me to think about all the YA Lit I'm reading.
